WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Run Plus Fun is an indoor playground in Henderson (they’re everywhere… it’s hot here, okay?). It has a big jungle gym type structure (the ceiling-to-floor labyrinth type) with some slides in one room, and then another portion that seems to be geared towards younger kids, with a small ball pit and some ride-on toys. There is also an area with tables where you are allowed to eat.
On the scale of old to new it appears to be in the middle. It was clean, but had the “worn out” feel a little bit.
WHAT TO TAKE
Everyone must wear socks.
OUR EXPERIENCE
We went on a weekday morning, and it was moderately busy. It appears to be family owned, and the man who checked me in seemed to be debating about whether to charge me for Korbin (8 months). He settled on asking if Korbin could crawl, which he couldn’t, so I didn’t have to pay for him. I think I recall him saying that if they can crawl you pay half price?
Kyler (2) took off into the play structure. The slides were too big for him and he never wanted to go down. They were pretty fast. He came back for me and wanted me to come in with him. Adults are allowed to go in, but being allowed and it being possible are different. I wedged myself in there, holding Korbin, and we crawled around for a while.
At some point somebody came out and said there was some kind of mess in the ball pit. The owner went in and tried to cordon off the pit by zip tying some mats, it took some doing to get the kids to leave it alone. In the end I think people thought it was my kid who went in there with some applesauce, but he didn’t! I promise!
WHAT WE LIKED
It was convenient for us to go here because it’s right next to swim lessons. Now every time we go to swim lessons, Kyler asks to go play “rocket balls” (this cannon shooter thing they have there), so that must be what he liked best.
WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE
Okay this doesn’t affect how much fun we have playing there, really, but the website. Not very professional and the flash intro is a little silly.
I’m not a huge fan of the big jungle gym setup, it makes it so your child isn’t always visible when they go to play in the depths.
WILL WE GO AGAIN
Probably not, there are similar places that are closer to us for the same price.
