WHAT TO TAKE
Money – cash is best (to avoid extra charge for using your card).
I took Kyler on a little mommy date. After we went swimming we stopped by the Purple Penguin. He talked the whole way there about wanting a “blue ice cream” and was so proud when it was our turn to talk to the staff all by himself and tell them “blue!” We sat on the curb in the parking lot and ate our treat together. My favorite part was “mommy! Stick out your tongue! It’s blue! What color is mine?!”
WHAT WE LIKED
The service was very fast and the snowcone was yummy! Small was plenty for the two of us to share, and they even offered to put it in a medium cup so there wouldn’t be any spills. The consistency of the ice is perfect. It’s definitely a snow-like snowcone, not the chunky ice kind. There is lots of flavor all the way through.
WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE
The only bad things about Purple Penguin are that they’re not on every corner and they’re not open year round!
WILL WE GO AGAIN
I may or may not have a goal to try every single flavor before summer is over.
